With this concept, it was key to convey determination and perseverance through movement. Using four hero characters, we created near-continuous, in-motion story arcs to show how passion pushes us all forward – literally – and prevails, despite setbacks. A groundbreaking geologist. A gymnast. A skateboarder. A bull rider. All engaged in a chase – visually, physically, and internally.
Exploring that internal drive through skills that ALL demand endurance in their own right, resulted in a cross-country talent search, a day at an Olympian-owned gymnastics training center, a night at a rodeo, a deep dive into one of the country’s top subsurface labs, and an afternoon getting schooled on kickflips. We’re still low-key grateful no one suffered a bull-riding injury.
Aka the people who get it done. The never-give-up, just-get-after-it types. Those are the people who not only make Devon what it is today – but those who will change the future of energy.
